Rachel Weisz to play Sharon Osbourne on Screen?

Sharon Osbourne has got a book out called Revenge. As a woman who likes to wrap her turds in Tiffany boxes and send them to her enemies, it’s clearly a subject close to her heart.

Indeed, as the ex X-Factor judge publicised the book she couldn’t help wreaking revenge on Dannii Minogue for daring to look 30 years younger than her on TV: “She wasn’t so much a dim bulb as a bulb in a power cut. F***ing useless,” said the charming Osborne.

She knows who’s good, though: Rachel Weisz. So good she wants the 39-year-old to play her in the film version of her hubby’s life. Because “she’s beautiful”. Don’t be so modest, Sharon.

I know a much bigger Hollywood star who was born to play you: Godzilla.

Like you, highly-paid specialists gave it the head of a Tyrannosaurus, the neck of an Iguanodon, the skin of a crocodile, it emits a strange, ear-splitting wail, is universally-loathed and has no discernible talent other than making people want to rush behind a couch and vomit.

This would be quite funny but I think it´s just gossip.

Rachel Weisz finally ready for marriage

Actress Rachel Weisz says she finally wants to get married – after being engaged for five years.

The Lovely Bones star joked that she is “like the guy in the relationship” because she was never bothered about actually tying the knot.

“Husband or fiancé – whatever,” she said of fiancé Darren Aronofsky, who directed The Wrestler.

But she admitted she had unexpectedly had a change of heart and wants to walk down the aisle.

“Funnily enough, just recently I suddenly felt like I really would like to [get married],” Rachel admitted. “It’s just a feeling – I know it’s a funny thing.”

Actually Rachel talked about a possible marriage on “The View” so you can watch her talking about it here.

Rachel Weisz ready for Horror?

With Jennifer’s Body arriving in cinemas across the pond this week, director Karyn Kusama is weighing up new projects – and it appears she’s sticking with horror, not to mention attractive leading ladies.

Kusama is apparently pondering another tale of body horror gore and David Cronenberg-style twists.

“There’s a screenplay I wrote a while a go with a partner that has a sort of element of horror, although I would call it a psychological horror in the Cronenberg tradition, that I’m tying to get made,” she tells io9.

“It definitely does fall into sort of a body horror movie that deals very, very specifically with our concept of gender. I can’t really talk to you specifically about it other than to say that Rachel Weisz is attached to the film.”

Chances are we’ll have to wait to see what happens with Jennifer’s Body first, since Kusama admits she doesn’t have the financing lined up for the untitled shocker yet.

But Rachel Weisz in a gender-twisting, body horror-style film certainly colours us interested.

Honestly I don´t think she will play the role, perhaps it´s just gossip.

Rachel Weisz to portray Old Hollywood icon Lamarr?

British actress Rachel Weisz may be polishing up her best Austrian accent to portray ’40s movie icon Hedy Lamarr in forthcoming “Face Value“. Directed by Amy Redford, daughter of Robert, the indie film focuses on the unusual life of the Old Hollywood actress and her second life as a scientist. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar winner Weisz is loosely connected to the film, though Charlize Theron’s name was batted around for the part as well. Written by Jose Rivera and Gretchen Somerfeld, the script for “Face Value” exposes Lamarr’s scientific contributions to frequency-hopping, which informs today’s wireless technologies.
